Calm, candid guidance for one of life's biggest moves.
Certified Florida Relocation Specialist & Realtor® since 2008 — serving Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, and the Gulf Coast.

I know what it feels like to relocate to Florida's Gulf Coast, because I did it myself.
In 1998, I moved here from Germany. I didn't have a relocation realtor. I didn't have someone to explain the difference between flood zones, to walk me through Florida's homestead exemption, or to tell me which neighborhoods would hold their value and which were a gamble. I had to figure it all out on my own, in a new country, in a new language, in a market I didn't fully understand yet.
That experience stayed with me. And ten years later, in 2008, it became the foundation of my real estate career.
I Was a Relocation Client Before I Was a Relocation Realtor
Most realtors learn relocation from a training manual. I learned it from living it.
I remember the questions that kept me up at night when I first moved here:
- Is this neighborhood safe? Will it hold its value?
- How do Florida property taxes actually work compared to what I'm used to?
- What's the homestead exemption, and do I qualify?
- Which school zones should I care about?
- What's the difference between living on the mainland and living on one of the islands?
- Who do I trust when I don't know anyone yet?
I had to answer every one of those questions the hard way, through trial, error, and time. Now I get to answer them for my clients before they even have to ask.
That's not a marketing pitch. That's the reason I do this work.
What Changed in 2008
When I became a licensed realtor in 2008, the market was in freefall. Values were collapsing, banks were failing, and buyers were terrified. Most agents were struggling. I saw an opportunity, not to sell houses, but to be the person I wished I'd had when I moved here in 1998.
- Someone who understood the market from the inside.
- Someone who could translate data into decisions.
- Someone who had been the newcomer and knew exactly what it felt like.
I built my practice around relocation clients because I understood them in a way that couldn't be taught in a certification course. I had lived their experience. I knew their fears, their questions, and the moments when they needed honest guidance more than they needed a sales pitch.
Seventeen Years Later
Since 2008, I've helped hundreds of relocating households find their place on Florida's Gulf Coast, from Sarasota to Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch to the islands. Some moved from across the country. Some moved from across the world, just like I did.
The market has changed dramatically since I started. But what hasn't changed is this: relocating is one of the biggest, most stressful decisions a person can make. And the difference between a good relocation and a great one comes down to one thing, having someone in your corner who has been where you are.
I've been where you are. That's why I do what I do.
